In molti quartieri di Napoli la raccolta degli alberi per il falò del giorno di Sant Antonio è una tradizione un rito un gioco avventuroso che i ragazzi di strada si tramandano di generazione in generazione Per chi li osserva da fuori è spesso solo una sequenza di atti di teppismo e schiamazzi fino a tarda ora che si conclude con un pericoloso incendio troppo vicino ai palazzi Volevamo raccontare quello che accade in molte strade della città nel mese di gennaio da un punto di vista il più possibile prossimo a quello di una banda di ragazzi Seguirli nelle loro ricerche osservare le alleanze e le scaramucce con altre bande documentare i caratteri il linguaggio i codici di comportamento
